I rarely line my upper lashes, let alone with Blacktrack, so this was something different. Just felt that it was too plain and needed liner.
Swatch of the Day: My MAC Pink Eyeshadows

This time around I’m swatching the eyeshadows in my “Pink” MAC palette! These are the ones that I’ve decided are “full” pinks. I have a “Pink-ish Purples” palette that I put other ones in that, to me, are not a full pink or a full purple color. Does that make sense? Probably not, but most people have unique ways of organizing their palettes to their personal tastes.

Description: Bright fuchsia (Frost, LE: Dejarose)

Description: Frost clean mid-tone pink (Starflash, LE: Starflash)
MAC Swish Eyeshadow
Description: Bright pink with icy shimmer (Frost)
MAC Pink Freeze Eyeshadow
Description: Bright pink with icy pearl (Frost)
MAC Sweet Lust Eyeshadow
Description: Pinky-rose (Lustre)
MAC Slip Pink Eyeshadow
Description: Sunny coral pink with pearlized pigments (Velvet, LE: Technacolour, Lingerie)
MAC Yogurt Eyeshadow
Description: Soft pale pink (Matte)
Swatching procedure: My skin tone is roughly a MAC NW20 (maybe NW15 since any tan is fading). Swatches are done over MAC Painterly paint pot to provide a base, therefore results may appear different on bare skin.
Photos are taken in my bathroom of the shadows themselves under “Natural Light” bubs which mimic natural daylight. Swatch pictures were taken by a window with natural sunlight.

- MAC Shroom e/s as highlight under brow (272 brush)
- MAC Romping e/s under lower lashes (219 brush)
- Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Zero lining upper lashes, blended with Too Dolly
- MAC Brow Finisher in Blonde
- Make Up For Ever Smokey Lash mascara

- MAC She Loves Candy lipglass
The Romping on the lower lashes was an afterthought, really doesn’t go. Oh well. I’m giving up on the Too Dolly palette for awhile…

Sunday, February 15th, 2009the second color in each Hello Kitty palette hates me. Or I was just having a terrible makeup day. Either way, I was cussing out Romping this morning in the bathroom. It’s terrible! Wouldn’t blend at all, just stuck in a big bright clump. Like WTF? Totally killed the look I was going for. Luckily, Stately Black and Too Dolly make up for the yucky Romping, and boring Yogurt. I didn’t think I’d like the Lucky Tom palette more… so happy I decided to buy it!
I have today’s and yesterday’s looks to post… minimal pictures because both were bleh days.

Simple and sparkly. I was going out shooting for my photography class, so I kept it simple. One thing I realized is why I never owned a pigment before, and that is because they’re messy. I had fallout all over my face, I had to use one of my new MAC Wipes to clean it up. I even tap my brushes before applying, and that still doesn’t help.

Looks OK in this picture, but with my eyes closed it’s a hot mess. I’m steering clear of Romping I think… I don’t know if I want to deal with it, when I have a blendable hot pink shade from Make Up Forever that I can use. I must say I am really disappointed…
