Saturday, March 6th, 2010Trust me, I can be at a lost on how to do looks like this! I’m so use to bright colors and a dark, smoky look so I actually have to carefully think about my makeup when doing a professional look.

Painterly applied as base. Omega applied over lid. Cork applied in crease and outer V. Espresso buffed into outer V and outer crease to darken. Crease blended out with Vanilla, and Orb used as a highlight. Zero applied lightly on lower waterline.
Overall matte, kind of dull look 
I used my liquid foundation as my skin has just been horrible lately, so I figured better coverage would be good. I have NO idea why I am breaking out like I am. I scarcely use my moisturizer, and I’ve been using my cleanser since November. So I am not sure what is happening. I don’t know if I’m breaking out because it’s so dry being winter? Ugh…
I also need new MUFE Lash Fibers like yesterday. Living so far away from a Sephora or MAC store sucks!!

Friday, February 12th, 2010This was posted today on specktra.net’s “Shop Your Stash Challenge” thread, and decided I’d try it out! I don’t think I’ve ever really used Cool Heat since I’ve bought it. Turned out well, a bit smoky and dark for a day look, but definitely something I’m not scared to try out again. A blue look I like?!

Deflt makes a beautiful base for Cool Heat!
Something I didn’t think of until now, but I bet MAC Blue Brown pigment would also go well with this look. I’ve had that pigment since last fall and still haven’t gotten around to using it, so I might have to repeat this look with that pigment sometime soon.

Loathing Honey Lust…
Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010The topic of MAC’s Honey Lust eyeshadow came up last night when I was formspringing my friend… realizing I haven’t used it in literally years (that I can remember), I decided I’d give it a try today. I really loathe that eyeshadow, I really do. It’s just about the only MAC eyeshadow I’ll flat out say I hate. And guess what? Still loathe it. I think I ended up with more fallout all over my face than I did with actual product on my lid… sucks, because it is a pretty color! It’s just a glitterbomb. I suppose I could try applying it wet, but is it worth that amount of effort?!
I paired it with Trax so I could have a look of what seems to be MAC’s two most hated eyeshadows according to people on the forums, heh. Now I do like Trax, so all hope wasn’t lost today!

A little bit of Blackground…
Friday, January 29th, 2010I haven’t used my Blackground paint pot too much, so I brought it out today. MAC Stars N’ Rockets eyeshadow over it looks gorgeous! Usually on it’s own or over a neutral paint pot it’s a very pinky-purple color, but over Blackground the blue duochrome really comes out!

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010As much as I use my purple eyeshadows, I have a few that don’t get used as often, so today I brought them out! I also used my liquid foundation today, and wow! I forgot how light it feels, and how great my skin looks with it!

Sunday, January 10th, 2010OK, I couldn’t take not wearing any makeup any longer! I have nothing planned today except for some working out, but I just had to do a look So here’s something tropical (tropical to me at least)… to remind me that winter won’t last forever

I don’t do very many teal/blue looks… I guess because they don’t come off as being very wearable… but I definitely like today’s look! It’s fun and playful and doesn’t scream “crazy old lady blue eyeshadow.” Glad I finally gave it a try, and maybe I can try to work in more colorful looks. Neutrals can get so drab 
First Melon Look – Day Version
Friday, December 18th, 2009I’ve had Melon pigment since October sometime… just finally got around to using it! It applied as a very bright yellow gold on my lids, which kind of disappointed me since it’s a orange-y pink in the container. I won’t give up on it, though, still a nice product.
I might have two version to this look, day and night. This is the day version. I am going out with friends tonight so I’m going to freshen up my makeup and maybe make it a bit darker. So the night version will be posted in a few days when I’m back!

Painterly applied as a base. Melon foiled all lid with 239 brush and a few squirts of Fix+. Cranberry applied in crease and outer V with 217 brush. Carbon used to darken outer V, applied with 217 brush. Vanilla used to buff out upper crease, with 275 brush. Nanogold applied as highlight with 275 brush. Zero applied on lower waterline.
So that’s the “day version.” Hopefully I can create some sort of night version out of it

Painterly applied as base. Heritage Rouge spread all over lid and up into crease with 239 brush. Old Gold applied in inner corner corners with 219 brush, and under lower lash line. Magnetic Fields applied in crease and outer Vwith 217 brush. Soft Brown used to blend out crease, 217 brush. Vanilla used to further blend, 275 brush. Shroom applied as a highlight, 275 brush.
This was my first time using Heritage Rouge, so that’s good! This reminds me of the look I did a few days ago with Old Gold, just the colors reversed.

Rockstar liner applied on outer lower lash line, and Old Gold applied under lower lash line with 219 brush.

Carbon used to darken crease and outer corner with 217 brush. Vanilla used to blend out crease with 272 brush. Creme Royale applied as a highlight under brow and inner corner of eyes. Star Violet applied under inner half of lower lashline with 219 brush. Humid applied under outer half of lower lashline with 219 brush. Zero applied on lower waterline, and Humid patted over.
Might as well do Christmas looks when I can, right?
Yesterday I did a look with MAC Henna eyeshadow all over my lid, MAC Bronze eyeshadow in the crease, and MAC Ricepaper Eyeshadow to highlight. I was iffy on it, and so I didn’t take any pictures.

Saturday, November 28th, 2009I completely forgot that I had Star Violet! So I finally got around to using it today. It definitely is a unique color, had to classify into a color group really. I’ll have to get it depotted and into my palette soon…

Off The Page and Satin Taupe applied under lower lashes.
A little interesting, eh? It was on my shadow combination list. Off The Page is gorgeous, I’m glad I picked it up when it was out.

I thought they were coming yesterday… no. So, ok, today! NO… Luckily I have stuff going on tonight so I wouldn’t have time to press anyway. But I swear if they don’t come tomorrow, I’m placing an angry phone call!

I don’t know why I keep on using MAC Black Russian on my waterline when Urban Decay Zero goes above and beyond what any other liner can?! Zero actually lasts longer than 2 minutes on my waterline, and keeps it’s vibrancy. So I really need to stop reaching for Black Russian and other shades of black for my waterline, and use Zero. *Pounds it into memory*

Just ehhhh…
And I never thought Smoke & Diamonds was so brownish until today. I guess I haven’t used it that much, but I was surprised. So yeah… too much like Saturday and not something that really makes me excited.
Edit – I know what could fix it! I think if I left out the blue, and did just Lucky Tom and Smoke & Diamonds that could look nice! I’m going to write it down for future use!

Friday, October 9th, 2009I feel like this is something kinda unusual for me… It is something off of my list of combinations to try (though I did my own highlight/blend and liners). I like it, though! I kind of did a messy job (especially with the liner), so it’s not perfect looking, but I definitely think this is something I would do again, and in different variations with different colors.
