Friday, February 12th, 2010This was posted today on specktra.net’s “Shop Your Stash Challenge” thread, and decided I’d try it out! I don’t think I’ve ever really used Cool Heat since I’ve bought it. Turned out well, a bit smoky and dark for a day look, but definitely something I’m not scared to try out again. A blue look I like?!

Deflt makes a beautiful base for Cool Heat!
Something I didn’t think of until now, but I bet MAC Blue Brown pigment would also go well with this look. I’ve had that pigment since last fall and still haven’t gotten around to using it, so I might have to repeat this look with that pigment sometime soon.

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010As much as I use my purple eyeshadows, I have a few that don’t get used as often, so today I brought them out! I also used my liquid foundation today, and wow! I forgot how light it feels, and how great my skin looks with it!

On a neutral kick…
Monday, November 30th, 2009I have been doing a lot of neutral looks lately.. probably a good and a bad thing. Good because out there in the “real world,” usually neutral makeup is what’s acceptable; bad because I feel like I’m neglecting all my pretty, bright colors when I have the chance to use them.
So here is a soft neutral look I did for November 29, 2009. It didn’t photograph as well as I wanted it to unfortunately, but the point gets across.

Painterly applied as a base. Solar White applied to inner corners with 219 brush, and as a highlight with 275 brush. All That Glitters applied over the rest of the lid with a 239 brush. Satin Taupe applied in crease and outer V with 217 brush. Corrupt applied along upper lash line and lower waterline.
It’s a very gentle that still brings some pop to the eyes, especially the Solar White in the inner corners.
And I’ll try to do a bright look soon, haha!

Foundation applied with 209, MSF with 268. Concealer applied under eyes and smoothed out with 194 brush.

Painterly paint pot used as a base with flat e/s brush. Gorgeous Gold over lid with 239. Beautiful Iris applied in inner with 219 brush. Aquadisiciac in outer V and crease with 217 brush. Solar White used as a highlight with 275 brush. Peacocked lining uppe lashes.

Friday, October 9th, 2009I feel like this is something kinda unusual for me… It is something off of my list of combinations to try (though I did my own highlight/blend and liners). I like it, though! I kind of did a messy job (especially with the liner), so it’s not perfect looking, but I definitely think this is something I would do again, and in different variations with different colors.

Bleh, I’m so dark under my eyes 
But… I am too lazy to put on a bunch of concealer, especially when I am not doing anything special. Hence my powder foundation – I don’t like to be all gloppy with products.
