I rarely line my upper lashes, let alone with Blacktrack, so this was something different. Just felt that it was too plain and needed liner. :)

    A little bit of Blackground…

    Friday, January 29th, 2010

I haven’t used my Blackground paint pot too much, so I brought it out today. MAC Stars N’ Rockets eyeshadow over it looks gorgeous! Usually on it’s own or over a neutral paint pot it’s a very pinky-purple color, but over Blackground the blue duochrome really comes out!

Definitely like this look… not too blue! I think I’ll have to try mixing my blues with other shades to find stuff that’s wearable to me. All blue looks just rub me wrong.

On a side note, I’ve been at this blog for over a year now! Yay! And WOW, I’ve come a LONG way in application technique/blending/etc! It’s so nice to be able to look back and see improvement :) Which is exactly why I started this blog, because I wanted to document my looks and see improvement, and perhaps help a few others along the way :)

    The purple streak continues…

Look of the day for October 29th

    Thursday, October 29th, 2009

I think this is a pretty “neutral” look that could be toned down if needed.  It’s amazing how versatile these shades can be, and I wonder how I lived without them!

    • MAC Mineralize loose foundation in Medium
    • MAC Studio Touch Up Stick concealer in NW20
    • MAC Redhead Mineralize Skinfinish

Foundation applied with 209, MSF with 187. Concealer applied under eyes and smoothed out with 194 brush.

I don’t know why I keep on using MAC Black Russian on my waterline when Urban Decay Zero goes above and beyond what any other liner can?!  Zero actually lasts longer than 2 minutes on my waterline, and keeps it’s vibrancy.  So I really need to stop reaching for Black Russian and other shades of black for my waterline, and use Zero.  *Pounds it into memory*
