Wow, I feel like I’ve owned Pure Ore for ages! It’s been over 2 years since it was released, and I’ve used it maybe 5 times tops, usually as a liner
I was browsing specktra.net’s “Shop Your Stash” thread for ideas, and came across a look using it so I had to give it a try!

I’m loving it!! It’s not too harsh of a look in real life (so my mom says, she often says my makeup is too dark
). Nice and sparkly and shiny. I’ve never used Pure Ore like this, so I’m glad I tried something new! Makes me wish I had the silver product from Metal-X, or hell, all of the colors!

Not that I’ve advocating the tasting of Shadesticks
Face
MAC Mineralize loose foundation in Medium
MAC Studio Touch Up Stick Concealer in NW20
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Perfect Topping
Eyes
MAC Cakeshop Shadestick
MAC Warm Chill Eyeshadow
MAC Humid Eyeshadow
MAC Satin Taupe Eyeshadow
MAC Vex Eyeshadow
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero
MAC Brow Finisher in Clear
Make Up For Ever Lash Fibers
Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash Mascara
Cakekshop applied all over lid and crease as a base. Warm Chill applied over lid. Satin Taupe applied in crease. Humid used to darken outer V. Vex applied as a highlight under brows. Zero applied to lower waterline.

This was my first time ever using a Shadestick. Cakeshop is pretty… it’s a sparkly beige with some green in it (at least I see some green). Gave an extra sparkle to the shadows I applied over it.

I went to Christmas craft fair today so I decided to do some season-themed makeup just for kicks. I think I got this from temptalia, but not sure…
Face
MAC Mineralize loose foundation in Medium
MAC Studio Touch Up Stick Concealer in NW20
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Redhead
Eyes
MAC Painterly paint pot
MAC Star Violet eyeshadow
MAC Humid eyeshadow
MAC Carbon eyeshadow
MAC Vanilla eyeshadow
MAC Creme Royale eyeshadow
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero
MAC Brow Finisher in Clear
Make Up For Ever Lash Fibers
Make Up For Ever Smokey Lash Mascara
Lips
MAC Valentine’s Lipgelee
Painterly applied as base. Star Violet applied across whole lid with 239 brush. Humid applied in outer corner and crease with 239 and 222 brushes. Carbon used to darken crease and outer corner with 217 brush. Vanilla used to blend out crease with 272 brush. Creme Royale applied as a highlight under brow and inner corner of eyes. Star Violet applied under inner half of lower lashline with 219 brush. Humid applied under outer half of lower lashline with 219 brush. Zero applied on lower waterline, and Humid patted over.

Might as well do Christmas looks when I can, right?
Yesterday I did a look with MAC Henna eyeshadow all over my lid, MAC Bronze eyeshadow in the crease, and MAC Ricepaper Eyeshadow to highlight. I was iffy on it, and so I didn’t take any pictures.

My empty pans that I have coming so I can press my pigments have been out for delivery for 2 days now… it’s really starting to annoy me! I thought they were coming yesterday… no. So, ok, today! NO… Luckily I have stuff going on tonight so I wouldn’t have time to press anyway. But I swear if they don’t come tomorrow, I’m placing an angry phone call!

I am tempted to add some of my Reflects Copper glitter a little bit over the lid as I’m going out to dinner with friends, and it’s practically Halloween. I’ll see if I get around to it. I’m still being bitter about my missing empty pans

I go to use my Fluidline today, and realize my 209 eyeliner brush is missing. I fear that it accidentally got thrown away when my brush cup fell into the trash
Then to top it off… I go to apply my MSF today and realize my 168 brush is gone! I washed it last night, and left it on the counter to dry. I have a very big inkling that when I showered this morning my youngest cat stole it and carried if off somewhere *whimpers* I did a quick search and didn’t find it out in the open. So I’m kind of upset… it’s an expensive brush and I need it! WAHHHHH
On to my look… (oh I hope my application for a MAC Pro card comes through because I need to replace those brushes!)

So long without an update!
I have three looks to post… I’ve been slacking on that and on wearing makeup. Very tired lately, and the weather has been crappy, so I’ve been wearing mostly just mascara…
The last two looks (the older ones) I don’t really remember what colors I used, so unfortunately I won’t have full details, just pictures
I must try harder at updating and keeping up on this dammit!
Today’s (well, since it’s 3am… 03/09/09’s) Look:
Face
- MAC Mineralize loose foundation in Medium (109 brush)
- MAC MSF in Redhead (168 brush)
Eyes
- MAC Painterly p/p as base (Sephora flat e/s brush)
- MAC Electra e/s all over lid (239 brush)
- MAC Plumage e/s in outer V and liner (239 brush, Mary Kay slanted e/s brush)
- MAC Shroom e/s as highlight (217 brush)
- MAC Brow Finisher in Blonde, Brow Set in clear over that
- Make Up For Ever Smokey Lash mascara
Lips
- MAC Sweet Strawberry lipglass

03/01/09
I really wish I remembered what colors I used on my lids… but!!! I did use my liquid foundation this day, with powder so that’s a change!
- MAC Mineralize Satinfinish Foundation in NW20 (Sephora foundation brush)
- MAC Select Sheer Pressed Powder in NW20 (E.L.F. powder brush)
I forgot how lovely the coverage is on this foundation is, while remaining light. I’ll have to use it more often…

02/24/09
Once again, no idea on color, except I do believe that is Humid e/s in the outer V…

Well… that’s all! Just happy I finally got this updated! I can’t slack off on this stuff, my memory can’t handle it!!!

Here’s today’s look, an old favorite of mine that I like to do
Products (all MAC unless otherwise noted):
Eyes
- Painterly paint pot as base
- Bitter e/s in inner corner/third of eyelid (139 brush)
- Swimming e/s in middle of eyelid (139 brush)
- Humid e/s in outer V, blended into crease, as as upper lash liner (139 brush)
- Shroom e/s blending in crease, and up to brows (217 brush)
- Bio-Green e/s lining lower lashes (219 brush)
- Brow Set in clear
- Make Up For Ever Smokey Lash mascara
Lips

I didn’t do my face today, a bit on the lazy side and had to get dinner prepared for the crock pot, LOL.
I think all my lipglosses look the same in these pictures, such a shame. Today’s (Spring Bean) is especially cool:

Yes, that’s neon green! But goes on in a caramel sort of shade, very pretty. Not green at all! But then in the pictures my lips look red as always
Sometimes the camera works out nicely, sometimes it doesn’t. That’s the case with point and shoots (Kodak M1033). Maybe I’ll have to use my D300 DSLR more often, at least for product shots.
The 217 brush that I got yesterday works out nicely! It does indeed do an awesome job at blending, I think my 272 is whimpering in the brush roll, worried it got replaced
As a final note, I think Humid is one of the MAC eyeshadows that everyone needs to own! It’s such a nice, solid dark green that goes with a lot of things, and blends well. I love it!
