I wish I could think of a patriotic scheme to do for tomorrow, but I’m worried it’d come out muddy…

Definitely like this look… not too blue! I think I’ll have to try mixing my blues with other shades to find stuff that’s wearable to me. All blue looks just rub me wrong.

On a side note, I’ve been at this blog for over a year now! Yay! And WOW, I’ve come a LONG way in application technique/blending/etc! It’s so nice to be able to look back and see improvement :) Which is exactly why I started this blog, because I wanted to document my looks and see improvement, and perhaps help a few others along the way :)

Feeling a warm chill in the air…

    Saturday, December 5th, 2009

This look was for December 4, 2009. I was going out with a few friends, and it was about 20 degrees out, so quite chilly! So I figured this would be the chance to try out Warm Chill. The “Shop Your Stash” thread on specktra has really pushed me to start using stuff that I have never touched before, and Warm Chill, Bottle Green, and Goldmine were 3 products I had yet to use.

  • Greenstroke applied as a base. Warm Chill applied all over lid and up past crease. Aquavert applied to outer half of lid. Bottle Green applied in outer V and crease. Carbon used to darken outer crease. Creme Royale applied as a highlight. Goldmine was applied in inner corners and over Eldorado under the lower lashes.

I think I might be getting on a gold kick with my looks…

    Plumage!!

    Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

Is my new favorite color! :)

Finally decided to try it out today, I love how well it blends and goes on. I had it in my Blue palette, but I think it fits in more with the Greens, so I’ll have to move it into that one.

    Face

    • MAC Mineralize loose foundation in medium (109 brush)
    • MAC Redhead MSF (168 brush)

    Eyes

    • MAC Painterly paint pot as base (Sephora flat e/s brush)
    • MAC Aquavert e/s all over lid, concentrating on inner half (139 brush)
    • MAC Plumage e/s on outer half of lids (139 brush)
    • MAC Orb e/s to blend out crease (217 brush)
    • MAC Brow Set in clear
    • Make Up For Ever Smokey Lash mascara

    Lips

    • MAC Elaborate lipglass

I really like Plumage! Aquavert was a semi-weird pairing, but it needed up working out. I didn’t want to use one of my brighter greens (like Swimming or Bio-Green) because I thought it wouldn’t match very well.
