A bright look! 
I took inspiration from specktra.net’s “Shop Your Stash Challenge” thread, and used some stuff from my stash that I haven’t used in a long time, or never!
Here’s what I came up with, and I love it! Bright, but not too over the top.
Face
Eyes
Painterly applied as a base. Cosmic applied all over lid with 239 brush. Lotusland land applied in inner crease with 217 brush. Satellite Dreams applied on outer crease and outer V of lid with 217 brush. Indian Ink used to darken outer crease and V with 217 brush. All the purples were blended, blended, blended! Indian Ink applied as liner along upper lashes with 209 brush. Nanogold applied as a highlight with 272 brush, topped off with Ricepaper using the same brush. Cosmic applied under lower lash line with 219 brush. Zero applied to lower waterline.
Eek, full face shot! Haha… I hate posting them 
I forgot how wonderful Cosmic is… applying it is like heaven, it’s so smooth and blendable. This was my first time using Indian Ink, and it can take a bit of work to get it blended in, but I really like it as a matte dark purple for smoking out a look. I’ve heard complaints that it looks black on certain skin tones, so I was please to see it remained purple on me!
Random note… but I’ve been using my MAC Green Gel Cleanser for about a week and a half now! And it seems that my skin is fine with it! Some things cause me to break out, so I was hesitant about switching to this particular cleanser. Yeah yeah, most people hate MAC’s skincare items, but I like my stuff to be from the same people. Call me a dumb snob, or whatever… it’s just my thing. I love how the tiniest dab is enough to wash my whole face, so I foresee the bottle lasting for quite awhile.

Saturday, November 28th, 2009I completely forgot that I had Star Violet! So I finally got around to using it today. It definitely is a unique color, had to classify into a color group really. I’ll have to get it depotted and into my palette soon…

Monday, November 23rd, 2009I’m finally moved and getting settled in, but with sketchy online access. But hopefully I can get back to updating! I took pictures of how I packed all of my makeup so I will make a post on my packing tips (all my stuff made the 1800 mile trip in a Uhaul safely!!), and then hopefully resume my looks of the day…

It was my first time using the “dreaded” Trax shadow… and I didn’t mind it! Takes effort to blend it, but it’s not the nightmare that people on the forums make it out to be. I have worse shadows… and it’s a pretty color to boot!
Anyways, this was just my quick “back from the dead” post. Hopefully I will have my desktop up and running soon and will be able to get some pictures up and resume fairly normal operations!

Simple… lazy… bleh. Haha. I just know the MES will look so much better if applied wet, but that’s too much effort. I wish the weather wasn’t so terrible, it’s making me lazy
Tomorrow I am heading into NYC to go to the pro store!! Woo woo! I’m a bit concerned, however… I want the brush toolbelt but I can’t find it listed on their site?! I hope I can still buy one, my brush cup is horribly failing at holding my brushes and I also plan on buying about 6 more brushes tomorrow so I need the room and organization!
I also kind of want to run by the Make Up For Ever boutique and pick up a small eyeshadow palette. Not that I need to depot a whole two shadows, but I love palettes! Plus they sell nifty metal spatulas, and I’ve convinced myself that I need one for when I start pressing pigments. I don’t think I’ll run by there, though, but I want to. I think MAC is going to hurt the wallet enough

Once again, another look off my super awesome list of combinations to try… which I will try to get posted as a page after I’m done adding all the stuff into My Collection page. Moving to a wordpress format has been so nice, I’m loving it! Definitely a lot more flexibility in layout and content.
Some thoughts…
1) 217 oh how I love you! I can’t believe I ever said I didn’t see the point in you on specktra.net!
2) It’s Parfait AMOUR not ARmour *smacks forehead* I just recently stumbled upon that discovery… can I claim it’s because French words aren’t my thing!? At least it’s not as bad as me calling Slip Pink “Pink Slip” for the past two years…
3) I wonder what my classmates think when I walk into class with makeup like this… Considering only a small fraction even seem to have mascara on, I wonder if I’m a sight to see with dramatic smokey looks for school…

However, I can’t decide if the look needs some eyeliner on my upper lashes… I avoid lining looks as sometimes it ruins everything, but sometimes it’s needed. I just don’t know…

Thursday, October 1st, 2009So my problem is laziness. I take pictures, then they sit on the camera. I have pictures on my digital camera from nearly a year ago! So… this morning I don’t have much going on, so I am vowing to go through all the makeup pictures, delete the crap ones, and post up good ones, regardless of how old.
What this means is that I probably won’t remember which products I used. But I still want to post them up since I took the effort to take the pics, ya know? What’s even worse is that my camera’s date kept resetting, so I don’t even have an accurate date for these Most will be from March – June 2009.
I run several blogs on a huge variety of subjects, and I tend to neglect them all, so honestly I REALLY need to make a vow to at least stay on top of a few.
First up…

Two words: SPICED CHOCOLATE!
I heard so much raving about this quad, so when I caught notice it was at my nearest CCO, I ran over and grabbed it. I’ve been in such a mood for a “fall feeling” with bronzes and reds, so this really excited me. And it didn’t fail to impress! (Which is always important, as things tend to get hyped up on MAC forums and turn out to be a bust)
I also dyed my hair recently “Deep Burgundy” by Feria. These pictures were taken soon after it was dyed. 1.5 weeks later and it’s faded a bit, but still really red. Maybe I finally found a good red hair dye?! Well, that, and I switched to using a sulfate-free shampoo (Bed Head Superstar) which really helps on prolonging hair color.

I went for a strawberries & bananas look this day and ended up messing it up by using a black eyeliner. I don’t like dark eyeliner (as you can tell, I usually don’t line my looks, which drives some people crazy but I like no liner a lot of the time). Therefore, I will only post the open eyes version.

I remembered the date on this one because this was the night of the Fast & Furious opening, LOL! I was going for the import model look, I guess. I used Too Faced Ooh & Aah duo eyeshadow.
That’s about all! There were other ones, but I either didn’t like how I did the makeup, or it was a repeat of something I had posted earlier.
Whew!
I am going to try to focus on getting swatches and collection photos up. I know natural light is best for that, but unfortunately the weather is quite crappy so I’ll have to see how far I get with that, especially today.

Thursday, June 4th, 2009Finally I get around to using one of the Cream Colour Bases (CCB for short) I bought at a CCO in March! And I like it! Definitely nice to put shadow over, and it’s been a few hours and still no creasing, so that’s a good sign!

The Sweet Strawberry lipglass was a lot more pigmented than I expected, and a bit strong for this look. I probably should’ve chosen She Loves Candy, but I am trying to use all my new Hello Kitty lipglasses.

Sunday, February 15th, 2009the second color in each Hello Kitty palette hates me. Or I was just having a terrible makeup day. Either way, I was cussing out Romping this morning in the bathroom. It’s terrible! Wouldn’t blend at all, just stuck in a big bright clump. Like WTF? Totally killed the look I was going for. Luckily, Stately Black and Too Dolly make up for the yucky Romping, and boring Yogurt. I didn’t think I’d like the Lucky Tom palette more… so happy I decided to buy it!

Simple and sparkly. I was going out shooting for my photography class, so I kept it simple. One thing I realized is why I never owned a pigment before, and that is because they’re messy. I had fallout all over my face, I had to use one of my new MAC Wipes to clean it up. I even tap my brushes before applying, and that still doesn’t help.

Paradisco is a headache, horrible payoff. I ended up soaking my brush in Fix+ and then glopping on tons of the shadow, then applying. Yeah, yeah… don’t dip a wet brush in shadow…

Monday, February 2nd, 2009ACK!!!! I got to class today, and we were talking about makeup and then I realized it… I FORGOT MASCARA!!! This really bothered me, although I think no one else noticed. But it was so strange So… in the following pictures you will notice the lack of my normally long, clumpy lashes, LOL. Besides that, I LOVE today’s look, I am so happy with the Make Up For Ever #92. Such bold, vibrant color that I haven’t found the equal to with MAC (same with the hot pink MUFE makes)
So, even with the mascara mishap, I love today’s look, and I got many compliments, which is always nice, because wearing such bold makeup can be scary.

So weird not adding mascara onto that list, just seems wrong. When I came home from class I did put some on, whew.
#92 just became one of my all time favorites, I just adore it! And it was a hassle to buy, as it’s been sold out constantly for months, so I am happy I jumped to buy it when it was available online back in December.
On another note….
On Saturday (January 31, 2009) I did a quick simple look, and took some brief pictures. No face products, just quicky on the eyes so I could go shopping (remember, I am trying hard to use my makeup!)

Not meant to be spectacular, just trying to play with some new products! Greenstoke is a nice paint pot by itself, I don’t even know if I’ll use it as a base very much, probably just a primary color. 1999 is also a pretty liner, but I am finding the softness of the 24/7 pencils to be a bit annoying sometimes.
I think either tomorrow or Wednesday I am going to use Electra and MUFE #75, which is a neon pink to see how that turns out (I just saw that #75 is no longer listed on sephora.com, oh noes!), to try a look similar to today’s.

Lips
- C-Thru lipglass
I took pictures before I did concealer on this massive mountain of a pimple on my forehead and before the Eye Bright, and then after I did it. So I used the later pictures, except for the last one I’m going to post, that was done before those two items.

Obviously, the concealer helped! Unfortunately, it is a discontinued product, but I see mine lasting forever since I haven’t even sharpened it yet, and I’ve had it for 1.5 years. It’s just nice that it’s in pencil form, so I can “draw” it on, then blend it in with the 194 brush. The Eye Bright also perked up my eyes a bit, so I am going to try to use that product more often.
My hair left a lot to be desired today, sorry about that, haha.
