Monday, March 8th, 2010My life is going to be a whole lot more neutral looks, so today I did something bright. And I realized that all the main colors are MAC Pro shades, weird!

Painterly applied as a base. Bright Sunshine applied all over lid. Bio-Green applied in crease and outer V. Bottle Green used to darken the outer V. Shroom used to blend out the top of the crease, and Ricepaper applied as a highlight. Graffiti applied under lower lashes and on waterline.

It’s been over 2 years since it was released, and I’ve used it maybe 5 times tops, usually as a liner I was browsing specktra.net’s “Shop Your Stash” thread for ideas, and came across a look using it so I had to give it a try!

I’m loving it!! It’s not too harsh of a look in real life (so my mom says, she often says my makeup is too dark 
). Nice and sparkly and shiny. I’ve never used Pure Ore like this, so I’m glad I tried something new! Makes me wish I had the silver product from Metal-X, or hell, all of the colors!

Cakekshop applied all over lid and crease as a base. Warm Chill applied over lid. Satin Taupe applied in crease. Humid used to darken outer V. Vex applied as a highlight under brows. Zero applied to lower waterline.
This was my first time ever using a Shadestick. Cakeshop is pretty… it’s a sparkly beige with some green in it (at least I see some green). Gave an extra sparkle to the shadows I applied over it.

So I figured this would be the chance to try out Warm Chill. The “Shop Your Stash” thread on specktra has really pushed me to start using stuff that I have never touched before, and Warm Chill, Bottle Green, and Goldmine were 3 products I had yet to use.

Carbon used to darken crease and outer corner with 217 brush. Vanilla used to blend out crease with 272 brush. Creme Royale applied as a highlight under brow and inner corner of eyes. Star Violet applied under inner half of lower lashline with 219 brush. Humid applied under outer half of lower lashline with 219 brush. Zero applied on lower waterline, and Humid patted over.
Might as well do Christmas looks when I can, right?
Yesterday I did a look with MAC Henna eyeshadow all over my lid, MAC Bronze eyeshadow in the crease, and MAC Ricepaper Eyeshadow to highlight. I was iffy on it, and so I didn’t take any pictures.

Friday, October 2nd, 2009I go to use my Fluidline today, and realize my 209 eyeliner brush is missing. I fear that it accidentally got thrown away when my brush cup fell into the trash Then to top it off… I go to apply my MSF today and realize my 168 brush is gone! I washed it last night, and left it on the counter to dry. I have a very big inkling that when I showered this morning my youngest cat stole it and carried if off somewhere *whimpers* I did a quick search and didn’t find it out in the open. So I’m kind of upset… it’s an expensive brush and I need it! WAHHHHH
On to my look… (oh I hope my application for a MAC Pro card comes through because I need to replace those brushes!)

Finally decided to try it out today, I love how well it blends and goes on. I had it in my Blue palette, but I think it fits in more with the Greens, so I’ll have to move it into that one.

I really like Plumage! Aquavert was a semi-weird pairing, but it needed up working out. I didn’t want to use one of my brighter greens (like Swimming or Bio-Green) because I thought it wouldn’t match very well.

Monday, February 2nd, 2009ACK!!!! I got to class today, and we were talking about makeup and then I realized it… I FORGOT MASCARA!!! This really bothered me, although I think no one else noticed. But it was so strange So… in the following pictures you will notice the lack of my normally long, clumpy lashes, LOL. Besides that, I LOVE today’s look, I am so happy with the Make Up For Ever #92. Such bold, vibrant color that I haven’t found the equal to with MAC (same with the hot pink MUFE makes)
So, even with the mascara mishap, I love today’s look, and I got many compliments, which is always nice, because wearing such bold makeup can be scary.

So weird not adding mascara onto that list, just seems wrong. When I came home from class I did put some on, whew.
#92 just became one of my all time favorites, I just adore it! And it was a hassle to buy, as it’s been sold out constantly for months, so I am happy I jumped to buy it when it was available online back in December.
On another note….
On Saturday (January 31, 2009) I did a quick simple look, and took some brief pictures. No face products, just quicky on the eyes so I could go shopping (remember, I am trying hard to use my makeup!)

Not meant to be spectacular, just trying to play with some new products! Greenstoke is a nice paint pot by itself, I don’t even know if I’ll use it as a base very much, probably just a primary color. 1999 is also a pretty liner, but I am finding the softness of the 24/7 pencils to be a bit annoying sometimes.
I think either tomorrow or Wednesday I am going to use Electra and MUFE #75, which is a neon pink to see how that turns out (I just saw that #75 is no longer listed on sephora.com, oh noes!), to try a look similar to today’s.
