I had to work today, but I still took some quick pictures of the looks I did. Usually during the week I just throw random neutral colors together, but I took this combination out of my list of combinations to try!

Brought out the colors from the Pandemonium Eyes quad that was out several years ago. I really like these colors in combination (unlike other quads where it seems like it’s just random colors thrown in).
I finally figured out how to use Blacktrack on my waterline… I have to hold it away from my eye and let it dry. That stops it from sticking to my contacts. In one of the pics the Blacktrack on my contact is visible, gross, haha. After I took the pics I cleaned off my contact and put it back in. The good thing is that Blacktrack has UBER staying power on my waterline! I’m in love!!!

Yay, I like it!

Later after work I decided to add some Blacktrack Fluidline to my waterline because I heard it’s awesome on waterlines. Well… ha. It adhered to my contacts, and wouldn’t come off! I ended up having to take my contacts out, putting them in to soak (I think they might be ruined honestly), and wearing my glasses the rest of the day. BUT… it DOES last longer than Urban Decay Zero does on my waterline, so that’s a good sign! I’ll just have to figure out how to apply it and not get it all over my contacts. Did I finally solve my black waterline liner issues?!
I received some new goodies as well from a sale off of Specktra… I got Sunbasque blush and a vial of Teal pigment. All for $15 shipped! I’m pleased. Sunbasque gives me a nice warm glow, and luckily it’s fairly sheer so it can be built. Teal was just an impulse buy, I figured for that price I might as well get it!
Just a simple look for today…

Woohoo, fun makeup for once!!!!

I quickly took some photos today of all my MAC eyeshadow palettes. The pictures aren’t the greatest, I took them in natural light so shutter speeds were low so there’s some bluriness. Also, my lil’ point and shoot got confused if there were light and dark colors together so some of the coloring is off. I mostly just wanted to post these up to show my collection, and not for swatch purposes, so that’s why!
Naturally, I’ll have to update this as I get more shadows… not planning on buying any soon, but things like that always end up happening

I think I might put Phloof! in the white palette when I depot it since there’s an empty space in it.
Yay for my collection!
Wow, the days sure fly by when you’re working full time. I decided not to do look pictures every day, even if it’s a new combination because it eats up time. So this site is getting a bit neglected…
My new favorite combination is MAC Patina all over my lid, and MAC Quarry in the crease. So pretty! I’m in love with Patina, I think it’s one of my favorite eyeshadows ever!
Last weekend I did a small CCO haul. Mostly impulse buys, but they’re working out I think
My friend wanted me to pick up a Sea Me shadestick, and I ended up getting one for myself although I’m sure I”ll never use it…

I got:

Personal Taste was a bit pink for my liking when I first try it, but I think I can make it work. I love Warmed MSF, brings a nice glow to my face without looking like a strong bronzer or fake. Sea Me I might just sell or swap. And I haven’t used Phloof! yet, and not quite sure why I grabbed it, LOL
Sundays are my day off, so I took the chance to do a look I wouldn’t otherwise do, especially for. Decided to give a blue look another chance. I’m STILL finding blues awkward
(Nothing on my face today… just eyes)

Different I suppose
The last few days of work last week I did this look:

Eyes
I love it! I think it might become my “routine” look for work, maybe with substitutes here and there for some of the colors. It’s quick and easy, and all of those shades easily blend together, so I don’t have to spend a lot of time blending out difficult finishes.
I only purchased two from this collection: Bough Grey and Birds & Berries.
MAC Birds & Berries Eyeshadow
Description: Frosted dark green blue (Veluxe Pearl, LE: Give Me Liberty of London)

MAC Bough Grey Eyeshadow
Description: Mid-tone blueish grey (Satin, LE: Give Me Liberty of London)

Swatching Procedure: My skintone is a MAC NW20. Product is applied over Painterly paint pot, so results may be different if applied on bare skin. All photos taken under “natural light” bulbs, which mimic natural daylight.

I had to work, so I kept it on the tamer side. Trust me, I would’ve preferred to break out my green pigments and go to town!

I haven’t bought any makeup since I picked up Hypnotizing eyeshadow in December… so oh boy did it feel good!
I had 6 empties to trade in for B2M, and a $25 gift card from Christmas, so that definitely helped out.
I got from MAC…
Eyeshadows
Saddle
Lucky Green
Patina
Shale
Quarry
Birds & Berries (from the Give Me Liberty of London collection)
Bought Grey (from the Give Me Liberty of London collection)
Paint Pot
Artifact (discontinued, but my store still had it!)
I also swung by Sephora and picked up a new tube of Make Up For Ever Lash Fibers. Finally! My existing tube was about a year old and getting really weird, so definitely time for new!
Oh my glorious purples!

Later that night (I’m writing this entry on March 20th) I redid my makeup, but didn’t get any pictures. I used Lucky Green all over my lid, and then Bottle Green in the outer V and crease. Really dark and dramatic green look
Figured out I don’t have to do neutrals every day, I can throw some color in there here and there

I don’t know what went wrong, by the end of the day it looked like I had no shadow on
I’m not the biggest fan of Hypnotizing, payoff seems to suck. I guess I’ll have to experiment with it more and see what happens!

My life is going to be a whole lot more neutral looks, so today I did something bright. And I realized that all the main colors are MAC Pro shades, weird!
Face

Painterly applied as a base. Bright Sunshine applied all over lid. Bio-Green applied in crease and outer V. Bottle Green used to darken the outer V. Shroom used to blend out the top of the crease, and Ricepaper applied as a highlight. Graffiti applied under lower lashes and on waterline.

Swatched my MAC Paint Pots today!
What is a Paint Pot?
A highly pigmented eye colour that goes on creamy but dries to an intense, vibrant finish. Long-wearing, colourfast. Creates seamless coverage without weight or caking. Blends smoothly over the lids. Cream-based, can be mixed with M·A·C shadows and liners.
MAC Painterly Paint Pot
Description: Nude beige (Cream)

MAC Fresco Rose Paint Pot
Description: Mid-tone pink with matching pearlized pigments (Frost, Discontinued)

MAC Blackground Paint Pot
Description: Black-grey with multi-colour (Pearl)

MAC Greenstroke Paint Pot
Description: Frosted mint green with gold pearlized pigments (Frost, Discontinued)

MAC Delft Paint Pot
Description: Deep teal with gold pearlized pigments (Frost, Discontinued)

Swatching Procedure: My skin tone is roughly MAC NW20. Photos taken under “natural light bulbs” which mimic natural daylight.

Trust me, I can be at a lost on how to do looks like this! I’m so use to bright colors and a dark, smoky look so I actually have to carefully think about my makeup when doing a professional look.

Painterly applied as base. Omega applied over lid. Cork applied in crease and outer V. Espresso buffed into outer V and outer crease to darken. Crease blended out with Vanilla, and Orb used as a highlight. Zero applied lightly on lower waterline.

Overall matte, kind of dull look
I used my liquid foundation as my skin has just been horrible lately, so I figured better coverage would be good. I have NO idea why I am breaking out like I am. I scarcely use my moisturizer, and I’ve been using my cleanser since November. So I am not sure what is happening. I don’t know if I’m breaking out because it’s so dry being winter? Ugh…
I also need new MUFE Lash Fibers like yesterday. Living so far away from a Sephora or MAC store sucks!!
Today’s swatch is MAC Haux Eyeshadow!
MAC Haux Eyeshadow
Description: Soft muted rosy brown (Satin)

Swatching Procedure: Product applied over Painterly paint pot on MAC NW20 skintone. Pictures taken under natural light.

Once again running a bit behind… I’ve come down with a cold which SUCKS! First time all winter that I’ve been sick, so I’ve been hiding out in bed trying to get better.
I really like this look! Amber Lights and Cranberry blend effortlessly together and look gorgeous paired up!
Face
Eyes
Painterly applied as a base. Amber Lights applied to inner half of eyelid with 239 brush. Cranberry applied to outer half of eyelid with 239 brush, and blended with Amber Lights. Satin Taupe applied in crease and outer V with 217 brush. Shroom used as a highlight. Zero applied on lower waterline.

Didn’t get any good pics… so ya’ll will have to go without!

I do believe this is the first time I’ve ever used Tempting! Pan looked perfect, so that’s my guess. Simple look, but I’m not really loving it…
