    CCO Haul!

    Sunday, April 25th, 2010

    april25cco

    Stopped by the CCO today…

A few weeks ago my Perfect Topping MSF fell off my bathroom counter and shattered :( So I figured instead of repressing it, I’d just pick up a new one at the CCO, and try to sell the shattered one. Lucky me, they had two left, and one of them had a lot of purple veining. Score!!!

    So I got…

    MAC Perfect Topping Mineralize Skinfish
MAC Spiritualize Pigment (LE: Metal Urge)
MAC Cool Capers Mini Pigment Set (Fuschia, Grape, Deep Blue Green, Reflects Transparent Teal, Holiday 2009)

You know the story behind my Perfect Topping MSF repurchase. Spiritualize was a random buy, I found it pretty and original jar pigments are so sought after now I feel the need to buy them up, haha. And I’ve wanted the Cool Capers set since last fall, but didn’t want to pay full price.

Just a tiny little haul, nothing else really caught my eye at the CCO (either had it or not interested). I’m really after cheek products and pigments lately instead of shadows, so that’s killing my hauls, haha.

    Revisit…

    Friday, April 23rd, 2010

I wanted to do something with color for work (like I’ve said over and over… all neutrals every day gets me a bit down) so I decided to re-try an old look. I think it came out a lot better, but then again, all my looks from a year ago looked downright scary! I hadn’t started using products in my crease, and I’m not sure I even attempted to blend. Oh what a difference a year can make!!! :D

I really ended loving this look! It’s fun, but still in a subtle way. Lime green that’s wearable?!

It was pretty, but didn’t have great staying power like normal MAC shadows do. But I was happy to finally use these shadows, I’ve had them sitting around since last fall!

Bronze-y look for this working Saturday…

    Saturday, April 17th, 2010

I had to work today, but I still took some quick pictures of the looks I did.  Usually during the week I just throw random neutral colors together, but I took this combination out of my list of combinations to try!

    Pandemonium Eyes Look

    Sunday, April 11th, 2010

Brought out the colors from the Pandemonium Eyes quad that was out several years ago. I really like these colors in combination (unlike other quads where it seems like it’s just random colors thrown in).

I finally figured out how to use Blacktrack on my waterline… I have to hold it away from my eye and let it dry. That stops it from sticking to my contacts. In one of the pics the Blacktrack on my contact is visible, gross, haha. After I took the pics I cleaned off my contact and put it back in. The good thing is that Blacktrack has UBER staying power on my waterline! I’m in love!!!

Later after work I decided to add some Blacktrack Fluidline to my waterline because I heard it’s awesome on waterlines. Well… ha. It adhered to my contacts, and wouldn’t come off! I ended up having to take my contacts out, putting them in to soak (I think they might be ruined honestly), and wearing my glasses the rest of the day. BUT… it DOES last longer than Urban Decay Zero does on my waterline, so that’s a good sign! I’ll just have to figure out how to apply it and not get it all over my contacts. Did I finally solve my black waterline liner issues?!

I received some new goodies as well from a sale off of Specktra… I got Sunbasque blush and a vial of Teal pigment. All for $15 shipped! I’m pleased. Sunbasque gives me a nice warm glow, and luckily it’s fairly sheer so it can be built. Teal was just an impulse buy, I figured for that price I might as well get it!

    Happy Easter!

    My MAC Eyeshadow Palettes!

    Saturday, April 3rd, 2010

I quickly took some photos today of all my MAC eyeshadow palettes. The pictures aren’t the greatest, I took them in natural light so shutter speeds were low so there’s some bluriness. Also, my lil’ point and shoot got confused if there were light and dark colors together so some of the coloring is off. I mostly just wanted to post these up to show my collection, and not for swatch purposes, so that’s why!

Naturally, I’ll have to update this as I get more shadows… not planning on buying any soon, but things like that always end up happening :D

    My “Highlights/Light” Palatte
    highlights
Row 1: Retrospeck, Solar White, Grain, Nanogold, Photorealism
Row 2: Vanilla, Vex, Naked Lunch, Creme Royal, Ricepaper, Phloof! (in pot)

As you can notice, some of my shadows are rather beat up. Accidents aren’t fun :(

I think I might put Phloof! in the white palette when I depot it since there’s an empty space in it.

    Yay for my collection!

Long time… no posting… and CCO haul!

    Saturday, April 3rd, 2010

Wow, the days sure fly by when you’re working full time. I decided not to do look pictures every day, even if it’s a new combination because it eats up time. So this site is getting a bit neglected…

My new favorite combination is MAC Patina all over my lid, and MAC Quarry in the crease. So pretty! I’m in love with Patina, I think it’s one of my favorite eyeshadows ever!

Last weekend I did a small CCO haul. Mostly impulse buys, but they’re working out I think :) My friend wanted me to pick up a Sea Me shadestick, and I ended up getting one for myself although I’m sure I”ll never use it…

    march27ccohaul1

    I got:

  • MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Warmed (from N Collection)
  • MAC Phloof! Eyeshadow
  • MAC Sea Me Shadestick
  • MAC Personal Taste Lipglass (from Makeup Art Cosmetics collection)
  • march27ccohaul2

Personal Taste was a bit pink for my liking when I first try it, but I think I can make it work. I love Warmed MSF, brings a nice glow to my face without looking like a strong bronzer or fake. Sea Me I might just sell or swap. And I haven’t used Phloof! yet, and not quite sure why I grabbed it, LOL
