I played with some of my little used purples today. I actually wasn’t planning on doing much, but then that turned into a look once I got going. It complimented my pink Chucks perfectly! And my RevvWear hoodie that I wore to keep warm.
Face – nothing (laziness streak continues! Perhaps I shouldn’t have hit the snooze button)
Eyes
- MAC Painterly p/p as base (Sephora flat e/s brush)
- MAC Milk pigment all over lid (Sephora medium e/s brush)
- MAC Up at Dawn e/s on out half of lid (239 brush)
- MAC Parfait Amour e/s in outer V and as liner for upper lashes (239 brush, Mary Kay slanted e/s brush)
- MAC Cloud Bound e/s as highlight (217 brush)
- MAC Brow Finisher in Blonde, smoothed with Brow Set in clear
- Make Up For Ever Smokey Lash mascara
Lips
- MAC Sweet Strawberry lipglass

The Sweet Strawberry lipglass was a lot more pigmented than I expected, and a bit strong for this look. I kept it on for pictures, and then I blotted it off and used Pink Fish Lip Conditioner for a more softer look. I probably should’ve chosen She Loves Candy, but I am trying to use all my new Hello Kitty lipglasses.
Just a cute girly look!

I took a small break from Hello Kitty collection stuff today… well, kinda. I attempted a brown smokey eye with the Lucky Tom e/s, but… it wasn’t doing want I wanted. (Do I have a HK collection curse?) I used very little, so I won’t be listing it on the products list FYI.
Face – nothing! Another natural face day (a.k.a. I was rushed)
Eyes
- MAC Painterly p/p as base (Sephora flat e/s brush)
- MAC Cosmic e/s all across lids (239 brush)
- MAC Mulch e/s in outer half of lid, blended, and under lower lashes (239 & 219 brushes)
- MAC Ricepaper e/s in crease & highlight (217 brush)
- Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Bourbon
- MAC Brow Finisher in Blonde
- Make Up For Ever Smokey Lash mascara

Neutral and simple

Today I was cussing out Stately Black. I think the whole Too Dolly palette hates me, so I’m returning the favor by hating it
Face
- MAC Mineralize loose foundation in medium (109 brush)
- MAC Fix+ (2 squirts)
Eyes
- MAC Painterly paint pot as base (Sephora flat e/s brush)
- MAC Too Dolly e/s all across lid (139 brush)
- MAC Stately Black e/s in outer V (139 brush)
- MAC Yogurt e/s in crease area (217 brush)
- MAC Shroom e/s as highlight under brow (272 brush)
- MAC Romping e/s under lower lashes (219 brush)
- Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Zero lining upper lashes, blended with Too Dolly
- MAC Brow Finisher in Blonde
- Make Up For Ever Smokey Lash mascara
Lips
- MAC She Loves Candy lipglass

The Romping on the lower lashes was an afterthought, really doesn’t go. Oh well. I’m giving up on the Too Dolly palette for awhile…

the second color in each Hello Kitty palette hates me. Or I was just having a terrible makeup day. Either way, I was cussing out Romping this morning in the bathroom. It’s terrible! Wouldn’t blend at all, just stuck in a big bright clump. Like WTF? Totally killed the look I was going for. Luckily, Stately Black and Too Dolly make up for the yucky Romping, and boring Yogurt. I didn’t think I’d like the Lucky Tom palette more… so happy I decided to buy it!
I have today’s and yesterday’s looks to post… minimal pictures because both were bleh days.

Face
- MAC Mineralize loose foundation in medium (109 brush)
Eyes
- MAC Painterly paint pot as base (Sephora flat e/s brush)
- MAC Milk pigment all over lid (217 brush)
- Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in 1999 along upper lash line
- MAC Brow Finisher in Blonde
- Make Up For Ever Smokey Lash Mascara
Lips
- MAC Fast Friends lipglass

Simple and sparkly. I was going out shooting for my photography class, so I kept it simple. One thing I realized is why I never owned a pigment before, and that is because they’re messy. I had fallout all over my face, I had to use one of my new MAC Wipes to clean it up. I even tap my brushes before applying, and that still doesn’t help.

Face – nothing!! Was in a rush!
Eyes
- MAC Painterly paint pot as base (Sephora flat e/s brush)
- MAC Yogurt e/s inner half of lid (272 brush)
- MAC Milk pigment over the Yogurt (272 brush)
- MAC Romping e/s outer half of lid *did not go as planned due to this e/s’s inability to blend/spread/whatever (239 brush)
- MAC Too Dolly e/s lining under lower lashes (219 brush)
- MAC Stately Black e/s a bit in outer V (239 brush)
- Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in 1999 lining upper lashes
- MAC Brow Finisher in Blonde
- Make Up For Ever Smokey Lash Mascara
Lips
- MAC Lip Conditioner in Pink Fish

Looks OK in this picture, but with my eyes closed it’s a hot mess. I’m steering clear of Romping I think… I don’t know if I want to deal with it, when I have a blendable hot pink shade from Make Up Forever that I can use. I must say I am really disappointed…

I couldn’t stay away from the MAC Store!! I decided that I really wanted the Milk pigment, as I don’t have any shadows near that color, and decided I needed a few others things. Best thing of all is that I got another free tote bag!
Now I can actually use one, and have one to keep nice. I wish I could get like 10 of them honestly.
Take Two Haul:
- Milk pigment (my first pigment actually!!)
- Nice Kitty lipglass
- Brow Finisher in Blonde]
- Wipes (the 100 pack)

Milk pigment

Nice Kitty lipglass
I wonder if this is going to start a pigment addiction… tee hee hee

First go around with my new Hello Kitty collection products, and I decided to try out the colors from the Lucky Tom palette.
Paradisco is a headache, horrible payoff. I ended up soaking my brush in Fix+ and then glopping on tons of the shadow, then applying. Yeah, yeah… don’t dip a wet brush in shadow…
Face
- MAC Mineralize loose foundation in medium (109 brush)
- MAC Studio Touch Up stick concealer in NW20 (194 brush)
- MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Redhead (168 brush)
Eyes
- MAC Painterly paint pot as base (Sephora flat e/s brush)
- MAC Creme Royal e/s in inner corner/middle of lid, and around tear duct (Sephora medium e/s brush)
- MAC Paradisco e/s on outer half of lid, applied wet with Fix+ (139 brush)
- MAC Lucky Tom e/s just a bit on outer corners (217 brush)
- MAC Stylin’ e/s lining lower lashes (219 brush)
- MAC Shroom e/s as brow highlight (272 brush)
- MAC Brow Set in clear
- Make Up Forever Smokey Lash mascara
Lips
- MAC Nice to be Nice lipglass

I ended up liking the look, very fun. Just getting Paradisco to show up at all was painful. I try to avoid using stuff wet (unless as a liner) as much as I can…
I want to do swatches of everything that I got from this collection, I will try to get that done this weekend hopefully. Unfortunately I want to go back and buy more… like Milk pigment, and maybe that neon pink lipglass. I shall see…

Yay, Hello Kitty MAC collection!
I ended up getting more than I expected… I figured I would. Once I saw stuff in person I wanted more and more! I probably would’ve gotten all 6 lipglasses if I was in the store any longer!!
I had my full face done, quite nice as it’s the first time I have had that done at MAC. I am not sure of all the products, but I will try my best to remember them..
Face
- A moisturizer… I didn’t get to see which one it was, though
- Studio Sculpt foundation in NW25 *I think* once again, I couldn’t really see, but she used two shades
- Mineralize Skinfinish Natural
- Studio Sculpt concealer
- Beauty Powder Blush in Tippy
Eyes
- Painterly paint pot (my ol’ pal!)
- Milk pigment
- Too Dolly palette
- A plum shade of eyeliner pencil
- Brow Finisher (I really wish I remember to buy this, I like it)
Lips
- Pink Fish lip conditioner
Whew, I think that’s all! It’s hard to remember when I am actually not applying it myself. I definitely believe this is the most make up I have ever had on my face, though!

Now… for my HAUL!!!
- Too Dolly e/s palette
- Lucky Tom e/s palette
- Pink Fish Lip Conditioner
- Nice to be Nice lipglass
- Sweet Strawberry lipglass
- She Loves Candy lipglass
- Fast Friends lipglass
And I got a free tote bag as well!
Oh, and Gesso for B2M

I honestly like the packaging, even the inside of the boxes has the HK print.

Pink Fish lip conditioner

Outside of the eyeshadow palette. I definitely won’t be depotting these

Lucky Tom eyeshadow palette (Creme Royal, Paradisco, Stylin’, Lucky Tom)

Too Dolly eyeshadow palette (Yogurt, Romping, Too Dolly, Stately Black)

Lipglasses: Sweet Strawberry, Nice to be Nice, Fast Friends, She Loves Candy.
And because I don’t want it to feel left out…

Gesso!
I think this will my last big MAC haul for a long time, heh.

Hello Kitty!!!
Which I am afraid to admit.. I don’t feel that excited for anymore. Maybe it’s makeup overload? Maybe it’s because there’s nothing I direly need from the collection? I am not sure…
I have my appointment at MAC at 6pm tomorrow night. It’s a “we put the make up on you” type of release I guess. My friend and I are going, and I gotta admit I’m more excited to wear my new Loli dress than to get makeup.
I don’t know what’s wrong
I have 6 empties to turn in, so I am planning on getting Gesso, which is NOT a Hello Kitty item. I lack a nice, pure white in my collection, so I’ve been eying Gesso for awhile, waiting for when I had enough B2Ms to get it. I am also eying Sketch for some reason, I’ll have to see it in person.
Along with that… for sure Hello Kitty items are:
Too Dolly e/s palette
Fast Friends lipglass
Sweet Strawberry lipglass
I am eying “She Loves Candy” lipglass as well… but am thinking I don’t need tons more lipglosses as I barely use the ones I already have. It will mostly be a decision that I will make on the spot.
Lucky Tom palette is kind of calling out to me, another item I will have to figure out once I am actually there.
That’s all that I can think of wanting right now. I am trying to stay fairly reasonable, and preferably under $100 for this. As much as the glitterliners look cool, I know I’ll never use them (because I never use my Urban Decay one), so I am trying to stay away from unecessary purchases.
I guess tomorrow night I’ll have some news! And maybe swatches, too! Woo woo!
(As for today’s look, I have no pictures. It was my first darkroom day in my photography class, and I didn’t feel like getting too dressed up. Just simply Painterly, with thick coating of Honey Lust over it, and MUFE mascara. Did I ever mention how much I hate Honey Lust?)

Is my new favorite color!
Finally decided to try it out today, I love how well it blends and goes on. I had it in my Blue palette, but I think it fits in more with the Greens, so I’ll have to move it into that one.
Face
- MAC Mineralize loose foundation in medium (109 brush)
- MAC Redhead MSF (168 brush)
Eyes
- MAC Painterly paint pot as base (Sephora flat e/s brush)
- MAC Aquavert e/s all over lid, concentrating on inner half (139 brush)
- MAC Plumage e/s on outer half of lids (139 brush)
- MAC Orb e/s to blend out crease (217 brush)
- MAC Brow Set in clear
- Make Up For Ever Smokey Lash mascara
Lips

I really like Plumage! Aquavert was a semi-weird pairing, but it needed up working out. I didn’t want to use one of my brighter greens (like Swimming or Bio-Green) because I thought it wouldn’t match very well.

it STAINED my skin!!!
I had read various accounts of Make Up For Ever eyeshadows staining, but most seem to say that if you use a base, it’s not a problem… well… I looked into the mirror after my shower and was greeted with purple-ish eyelids, and some bright spots of purple. I grabbed my makeup remover, but the color stayed. So I had to use a dark color today all over my lids to cover up the stains (I was too lazy to do a look with the stains, lol).
Pictures of the damage from MUFE #92:

My cover up attempt:
Face
- MAC Mineralize loose foundation in medium (109 brush)
- MAC Studio Touch Up stick concealer under eyes (194 brush)
Eyes
- MAC Painterly paint pot as base (Sephora flat e/s brush)
- MAC Climate Blue e/s all over lids (139 brush)
- MAC Dreammaker e/s in crease (217 brush)
- Make Up For Ever Smokey Lash Mascara

It didn’t look that good, so not too many pictures… definitely not as spectacular as yesterday’s look… but then again, I was trying to cover up yesterday’s damage. I am wondering if MUFE #75 does the same, I am kinda scared to try it…

ACK!!!! I got to class today, and we were talking about makeup and then I realized it… I FORGOT MASCARA!!! This really bothered me, although I think no one else noticed. But it was so strange
So… in the following pictures you will notice the lack of my normally long, clumpy lashes, LOL. Besides that, I LOVE today’s look, I am so happy with the Make Up For Ever #92. Such bold, vibrant color that I haven’t found the equal to with MAC (same with the hot pink MUFE makes)
So, even with the mascara mishap, I love today’s look, and I got many compliments, which is always nice, because wearing such bold makeup can be scary.
Face
- MAC Mineralize loose foundation in medium (109 brush)
- MAC Redhead MSF (168 brush)
- MAC Studio Touch Up stick concealer under eyes (194 brush)
Eyes
- MAC Painterly paint pot as base (Sephora flat e/s brush)
- MAC Electra e/s all over lid (139 brush)
- Make Up For Ever #92 (”Purple 92″) in outer V, into crease, and as liner (139 brush and Mary Kay slanted e/s brush)
- MAC Crystal Avalanche e/s in crease to blend the purple (217 brush)
- MAC Shroom e/s as highlight under brow (217 brush)
- MAC Brow Set in clear
Lips

So weird not adding mascara onto that list, just seems wrong. When I came home from class I did put some on, whew.
#92 just became one of my all time favorites, I just adore it! And it was a hassle to buy, as it’s been sold out constantly for months, so I am happy I jumped to buy it when it was available online back in December.
On another note….
On Saturday (January 31, 2009) I did a quick simple look, and took some brief pictures. No face products, just quicky on the eyes so I could go shopping (remember, I am trying hard to use my makeup!)
Eyes
- MAC Greenstroke paint pot all over lid, up past crease (Sephora flat e/s brush)
- Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner Pencil in 1999 to thickly line upper lashes
- Make Up For Ever Smokey Lash mascara

Not meant to be spectacular, just trying to play with some new products! Greenstoke is a nice paint pot by itself, I don’t even know if I’ll use it as a base very much, probably just a primary color. 1999 is also a pretty liner, but I am finding the softness of the 24/7 pencils to be a bit annoying sometimes.
I think either tomorrow or Wednesday I am going to use Electra and MUFE #75, which is a neon pink to see how that turns out (I just saw that #75 is no longer listed on sephora.com, oh noes!), to try a look similar to today’s.
